Classroom Transformations

Operating Room

Students donned surgical gowns, gloves, and masks and performed "character trait surgery" in an English Language Arts lesson. They identified motivation, dialogue, thoughts, and actions and connected those with a body part to build their character. They used surgical theme throughout the day to hone their skills in punctuation, parts of speech, and comparing numbers and more.

• Space day

All of these room transformations are based around reading and/or math standards that we've recently covered. I like to add in some STEAM activities or science experiments too.
